BIC has acquired reusable notebook manufacturer Rocket Innovations, Inc. for around $40 million (€34 million). The acquisition will enhance BIC’s position in the stationery market, according to a BIC press release.

Boston-based Rocket produces reusable notebooks which emulate traditional notebooks in appearance. “At BIC, we are focused on reimagining everyday essentials and introducing new products that enhance peoples’ lives. This acquisition will solve a major challenge for many stationery consumers, providing a way to write that can be easily stored and shared in a quick, efficient, and environmentally conscious manner.” says BIC CEO Gonzalve Bich. BIC manufactures stationery, lighters, and shavers.

BIC is being advised by Nfluence Partners LLC and Finn Dixon & Herling LLP. Tully & Holland, Inc. and Mintz, Levin, Cohn, Ferris, Glovsky, and Popeo P.C are advising Rocket.
