Berkshire Partners, a Boston-based investment firm, has promoted Justin Hupp, Josh Johnson, Jon Nuger, Nii Amaah Ofosu-Amaah and Terry Thompson to managing directors.

Justin Hupp joined the firm in 2009 and focuses on the private equity team. He has developed business knowledge in digital infrastructure and tech-enabled businesses. Josh Johnson joined the firm in 2008 as a private equity associate. Currently, Johnson is a leader on the communications and digital infrastructure industry team within the private equity segment.

Nuger joined the firm in 2012 following time in consulting, investment firms and start-up firms. While at Berkshire, Nuger has led the technology investing efforts. Ofosu-Ammah has been with Berkshire since 2006 and currently holds a leadership role spaning both business development and investor relations. Thompson joined the firm in 2020 as chief operating officer following his time as COO and CFO at Ropes and Grey. Thompson focuses on corporate operations with experience in finance leadership roles.
