Avanquest, a software-as-a-service division of Claranova, has bought Scanner App LLC, a U.S.-based company focused on mobile application development.
Avanquest has recently focused on developing a strong mobile application business alongside its desktop applications in the PDF, security, and photo segments. The acquisition includes a series of subscription-based mobile applications that Avanquest looks to use to expand its PDF business, including the capabilities to scan, fill, edit and sign any PDF, JPG to PDF conversion and the ability to share scans anywhere. With this deal, Avanquest aims to expand its PDF family of products and accelerate its growth by providing native PDF solutions for mobile users, as well as affirm Avanquest’s strategy within the mobile sector.
