Angstrom Technology, a cleanroom production company and subsidiary of Asgard Partners & Co, has acquired life science design and engineering firm Specific Environments Limited. The acquisition will add specialized design and engineering capabilities to Angstrom.

SEL has a roster of cell and gene therapy, biotech, and pharmaceutical end markets that expand Angstrom’s own coverage in Europe as well as its capabilities. It works with clients such as Lonza Group, GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Abbott, and the U.K. National Health Service. Managing director Peter Saunders will continue to lead the U.K.-based business alongside the existing management team.

Saunders said, “We are thrilled to be partnering with Angstrom and ASGARD and continuing our momentum following this exceptional year of growth. We believe this partnership will help us meet the growing demand from our customers and enable us to work with larger organizations in delivering fully customizable and turnkey cleanrooms. I believe the combined company is poised for significant growth as it continues to expand its global footprint.”

Karan Rai, managing partner of ASGARD, said, “The SEL acquisition adds a significant in-house design and engineering competence to our existing platform. We are committed to building a highly customer centric and full-service global company in this space.”
