AE Industrial Partners, a private equity firm focused on Aerospace, has purchased Firefly Aerospace. Firefly Aerospace is a private aerospace firm that develops launch vehicles for commercial launches to orbit.
The transaction will expand AEI’s robust space investment portfolio and be an advantage to Firefly as they look to secure additional U.S. Federal Government contracts.
Covington & Burling LLP served as legal advisor and Ernst & Young served as financial advisor to AEI. DLA Piper LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as legal advisors, and Jefferies LLC served as the financial advisor to Noosphere Venture Partners.
