Sentry Aerospares, a global aviation aftermarket platform with operations in London, the New York metropolitan area, Dallas, and now Toronto and backed by Acorn Capital Management, has acquired AirStart Inc., a Canadian independent stocking distributor of rotable aircraft components.
The acquisition expands Sentry’s inventory portfolio, broadens its customer relationships, and enhances its capabilities in the regional aircraft market while strengthening its 24/7 aircraft-on-ground (AOG) support network. The deal advances Sentry’s strategy of building a global aviation aftermarket platform through strategic acquisitions. Founded by Robert Wills, who will continue to lead the business alongside Anne Vinet, AirStart serves airlines, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers, and aviation parts distributors worldwide. The company specializes in high-quality, tagged rotable aircraft components for critical Aircraft on Ground (AOG) situations.
