We’re off and running in the first quarter of 2007! Fresh off of our whirlwind tour of the New York City media circuit in support of the ACG/Thomson 2006 Year-End Dealmakers Survey, we’re pleased to see our membership ranks swell past the 11,000 mark. Our association continues to provide its members with unparalleled value, due to strong branding, a robust dealmaking environment, and, most importantly, strong chapter leadership and programming. As in any organization, growth brings along some challenges, and we ask for your understanding as we continue to develop ACG’s technology infrastructure. As our ranks increase, it’s imperative that we continue to focus on building our iMIS technology platform. These enhanced resources will enable us to stay connected with fellow dealmakers. We must work diligently to put this crucial infrastructure in place to support our growth and keep our members connected, and ultimately to enhance ACG’s role of facilitating education, networking, and deal flow. We recognize that software implementation is never as rapid or smooth as one would like. It’s often disruptive but in the end it will be an important investment that will make our lives easier and more productive. On another note, ACG InterGrowth is on the horizon! In the coming month, watch for InterGrowth marketing materials, including a promotional video that highlights compelling aspects of the conference. We’re looking forward to building on our success and meeting the challenges the second quarter has to offer – as one global ACG community.
