The newly formed Leucadia Capital Partners LLC, a private equity investment management and advisory firm, has officially changed its name to StepStone Group LLC. The original name of the firm was chosen based on a California community where the founders live and work. However, the name was contested by another local firm in a different line of business. To avoid involvement in the dispute, the founders have changed its name to StepStone.
