New Energy Capital has hired Everett Smith III as the company’s chief financial officer. Smith served for 15 years in senior executive positions at GE Capital including managing director and executive vice president in the GE Structured Finance Group (“SFG”), the business unit at that time responsible for GE’s energy investment activities.
