Providence, R.I.-based Innovative provides information/research services to managed care and pharmaceutical companies. While Innovative retained Shattuck specifically to explore alternatives for its network management division (NMD), it has also enjoined the firm to assess selling the entire company. NMD furnishes single specialty healthcare providers and HMOs with network management tools. Those tools include applications for disease management and economic research.
