Slater opposed the deal on competition grounds, citing concerns it could create a duopoly in cloud-computing and wireless-networking systems.

The clearance follows a similar review completed by the U.S. Department of Justice in November 2025.

The move comes as a response for AMD to better compete against rival Nvidia.

The deal would complement Nvidia's strategy to enlarge the cloud and enterprise software market and position the firm as a direct competitor to cloud providers like Amazon, Google and Microsoft.

The IPO reflects broader uncertainty in AI infrastructure demand.
