Private equity firm the Riverside Co. is continuing its education M&A streak with its purchase of Digital University, an online bank and credit union regulatory-compliance training tool.

The company will be added on to Riverside portfolio company OnCourse Learning.

Digital University, headquartered in San Diego, Calif., provides online courses for its bank, credit union and utility clients.

On Nov. 7, Riverside made its 300th acquisition with its Learning Seat Pty Ltd. buy. The target develops electronic learning courses.

Other companies have also been active in education M&A. On Nov. 7, Echo 360 Inc. acquired LectureTools, which makes interactive in-class education tools, and on Nov. 6, John Wiley & Sons Inc. (NYSE: JWA, JWB) purchased Efficient Learning Systems.
