Semiconductor microcap Acorn Holding Corp., apparently on its last legs, announced that it will explore strategic alternatives, including a possible sale. New York-based, $1.5 million market cap Acorn, through its Recticon Enterprises subsidiary, manufactures monocrystalline silicon wafers for use in the semiconductor industry. Stephen Ollendorff, the chief executive officer of Acorn, said the company has yet to engage an investment bank, but will do so shortly.
