Succession Capital Inc., a unit of private equity firm Lynx Equity Ltd., has acquired building products company Wine Valley Siding Supply Inc.
Wine Valley, headquartered in Bothell, Washington, supplies siding products, trims and accessories to builders, subcontractors and homeowners.
In April, Succession Capital picked up Portland, Oregon-based flooring distributor Floor Solutions. The San Diego-based group focuses on buying small and medium-sized business from owners that are looking to retire. The firm generally spends between $2 million and $8 million per transaction. Lynx, headquartered in Toronto, Canada, manages private equity funds.
In July, Succession also agreed to buy HJ Sherman Co. Inc., which makes religious gifts and jewelry.
Other recent building products-related deals include Westlake Chemical Corp.'s acquisition of Vinnolit Holdings GmbH, which makes PVC that is used for the construction process, and Nortek Inc.'s (Nasdaq: NTK) acquisition of Thomas & Betts Corp.'s HVAC business.
