Stratose has acquired health care network operator PPOplus LLC for an undisclosed price.

PPOplus’ preferred provider network focuses on the southern U.S., specifically in Louisiana, Mississippi and Arkansas.

Atlanta-based Stratose operates preferred provider networks for workers compensation, medical and dental coverage. Stratose handles medical claims, aiming to save payors, such as insurance companies, money. The company bought three insurers in 2011, and acquired HFN Inc. in October to expand in the workers compensation insurance marketplace.
