Private equity firm GTCR LLC will buy NewWave Communications from Pamlico Capital.
NewWave, headquartered in Sikestron, Mo., provides high-speed broadband, video and voice services.
The deal will be done through GTCR’s portfolio company Rural Broadband Investments (RBI), a cable company. Terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
RBI was formed by GTCR and Phillip Spencer in 2012 to acquire broadband infrastructure assets in small and mid-sized communities. The company is currently pursuing additional acquisitions.
Chicago-based GTCR has invested in Curo Health Services, OneSource and Telecom Lease Advisors.
