Power Solutions International Inc. (Nasdaq: PSIX) is buying Professional Power Products Inc. for $46 million.
Darien, Wisc.-based Power Solutions designs, engineers and manufactures electrical power generation equipment for the diesel and natural gas generator market. The company makes systems, switchgear, control panels, load banks, mobile power trailers and other products.
The buyer makes alternative-fuel power systems that are used by equipment manufacturers. The company expects the deal to increase its customer reach.
Livingstone acted as financial adviser to Professional Power Products.
Falfurrias Capital Partners also recently bought an energy manufacturing company, picking up Advanced Control Systems, which makes products that control power transmission and distribution, in March.
