Jones DayRebecca MacPherson (pictured) will join the law firm’s Washington office as of counsel in the airlines and aviation practice. She will begin her new position on Jan. 22. MacPherson was previously the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA)'s assistant chief counsel for international law, legislation and regulations. Her role at the FAA included reviewing rulemaking documents and providing legal advice on issues arising from existing regulations. Prior to joining the FAA in 2004, MacPherson served for eight years as associate chief counsel of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.


Linden Capital Partners – The Chicago-based private equity has appointed William Rhodes as an operating partner. Rhodes joins Linden from Becton, Dickinson and Co. He will work closely with Linden’s investment team in the diagnostics and life-science space. Linden focuses exclusively on the healthcare sector.


Marx Group Advisors – The San Rafael, Calif.-based consulting firm announced that Raymond Datt (pictured) has joined the firm as vice president. In addition to continuing as president of R D & Associates Inc., a strategic and business planning company in Oakville, Ontario, he will serve as a consultant for mergers and acquisitions in Canada and the U.S. for Marx Group and become a member of the firm's advisory board. Datt is the former president of the Automotive Industries Association of Canada (AIA).


Monomoy Capital Partners – The New York private equity firm hired Kareem Aktar as a vice president. Prior to joining MCP, Kareem was a vice president at H.I.G. Capital Management, where he focused on leveraged buyouts in the industrial and business services sectors. Previously, he worked at Corinthian Capital Group, focusing on similar industries. In addition, Monomoy promoted Jaime McKenzie and Lee Mlotek to vice president, and Eric Ceresnie to senior associate. Mckenzie, Mlotek and Ceresnie took on their new roles as of Jan. 1.
