Angle Advisors LLC — Felix Leitloff has joined the Birmingham, Mich. investment bank as a vice president. Leitloff previously worked at Switzerland-based M&A boutique Helbling Corporate Finance GmbH. His industry focus includes the automotive, energy and consumer goods and retail sectors. Leitloff has also advised corporate restructurings, middle-market debtors and insolvency administrators on distressed companies.

Baird Capital — The Chicago investment arm of investment bank Robert W. Baird & Co. named Roberto Ferranti a principal. Ferranti joined Baird Capital in 2010 as a vice president and works within the portfolio operations team. Prior to joining Baird, Ferranti served as a vice president at Mesirow Financial. Before that, he was a vice president at consulting firm AlixPartners LLP.

Barclays plc (NYSE: BCS) — The London investment bank named Ragavan Bala and Peter Scott as managing directors in the real estate group. Bala, who started his career at McKinsey & Co. in 1992 before jumping to Bank of America Merrill Lynch (NYSE: BAC) in 1996, will be head of real estate, mergers and acquisitions. Scott previously served as a managing director in the real estate investment banking group at Credit Suisse Group. Bala and Scott are based in New York.

Burns & Levinson LLP — The law firm announced several promotions at the firm’s Boston headquarters. J. Fraser Collin, Elizabeth Crowley, Christine Fletcher, Sara Decatur Judge and Jonathan Levi were each called up to partner. They represent several of the firm’s practice areas, including corporate and private clients, as well as business litigation.

Cbiz Inc. —  The New York accounting firm hired Jeffrey Varsalone as a managing director. Varsalone, based in Boston, joins the firm's corporate recovery services practice. He will advise distressed companies. Varsalone comes to Cbiz with more than 15 years of restructuring experience in sectors, including retail, construction, consumer products, media, manufacturing, real estate, restaurants, technology and transportation.

Corridor Capital LLC — The Los Angeles private equity firm  has promoted Cameron Reilly to managing director and Tim Thacher to vice president. Reilly, who joined Corridor in 2011 as principal, has worked on deals, including the December 2012 purchases of Wetmore Tool & Engineering Inc., US Industrial Tool & Supply Inc. and Arvan Inc. Thacher, who joined Corridor in 2012 as senior associate, worked with Reilly during the firm's September 2013 acquisition of Innovative Office Products Inc., a manufacturer of ergonomic mounting solutions for flat panel monitors.

Holland & Knight LLP — Latour Lafferty and Donald Bly have joined the law firm's Tampa office as partners. Lafferty joins the firm's litigation practice while Bly joins the firm's real estate practice. Lafferty, previously a shareholder with Tampa law firm Fowler White Boggs, is a former federal prosecutor specializing in white-collar regulatory enforcement and fraud. Bly focuses on commercial real estate and related federal and state tax matters. Separately, William McCullough joined the firm's corporate and financial services practices as a partner in the Miami headquarters. Most recently, McCullough was a partner with Shutts & Bowen LLP.

McGlinchey Stafford — Randy Dow has joined the Houston firm’s Fort Lauderdale, Fla. office. Dow has more than 15 years of experience in bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, construction litigation, products liability defense, commercial litigation and insurance coverage. He currently serves as statewide litigation counsel for national and international corporations in the construction and real estate industries.

Norwest Equity Partners — The Minneapolis investment firm brought in Nicole Strait as chief of organization strategy. She will also serve as a senior advisory resource for the firm's portfolio management and human resource teams. She has worked previously for Cargill Inc., The Pillsbury Co. and CNS Inc., the company behind Breathe Right nasal dilator.

Paul Hastings LLP — John Cobb has jumped to the New York law firm as a partner from Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP. As part of Paul Hastings’ leveraged finance practice, Cobb will advise on capital markets transactions. His experience includes representing banks, investors, and mezzanine funds.

Quarles & Brady LLP — The Milwaukee law firm named Kathryn Buono (pictured) managing partner. Buono previously served as a member of the firm’s governing executive committee, national chair of the corporate services practice group and leader of its M&A team. Ann Murphy, who held the position before Buono for 12 years, will continue at the firm within the commercial lending and public finance practice.
