Brandon Eck has joined Philadelphia-based Mufson Howe Hunter as a managing director. Most recently with Janney Montgomery Scott LLC, Eck will lead Mufson’s technology group.


Tom Burgett was hired by Lincoln International’s Dallas office as managing director. Burgett was previously with MHT Partners and focuses on M&A in the education sector.


Kristin Carey has joined Cain Brothers as a managing director in New York. Previously with Teneo Capital, Carey focuses on the pharmaceutical sector.


Jennifer Cheng was hired by Reed Smith as a partner in New York.  Most recently with Paul Hastings, Cheng concentrates on M&A, divestitures and joint ventures.


Frederick Chung was hired by Adams Street Partners as a principal in New York. Previously with Goldman Sachs Group Inc. (NYSE: GS), Chung will be responsible for deal sourcing and structuring.


Johnny Colville was hired by Houlihan Lokey Inc. (NYSE: HLI) as a managing director in London. Most recently with HSBC, Colville will work with Houlihan’s financial sponsor clients.


Linda Crow has joined Duane Morris LLP’s London office as a partner. Previously with Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, Crow advises companies on regulatory matters related to M&A.


Steven Cutler has joined New York-based IAC/InterActive Corp. (Nasdaq: IAC) as co-head of M&A. Previously with private equity firm Pilot Group, Cutler will help oversee IAC’s M&A efforts. IAC is a media and Internet company that owns Dictionary.com, Investopedia and Match.com.


Jack Daly has joined TPG Capital as a partner. Previously with Goldman Sachs and based in San Francisco, Daly concentrates on the industrials sector.


Heidi Deiner has been elected as chair for the New York chapter for the Association for Corporate Growth. Deiner is the director of business development for Murray Devine, where she focuses on M&A.


Seth Faler was hired by Chattanooga, Tennessee-based Oaklyn Consulting as a consultant. Most recently with Unum Group, Faler advises business owners on responding to buyout offers and capital raising.


Brandee Fernandez was hired by DLA Piper as a partner in San Francisco. Most recently with Cooley LLP, Fernandez focuses on M&A and private equity across the technology, healthcare and food and beverage sectors.


Paul Finlan has joined Duane Morris LLP’s London office as a partner. Previously with Faegre Baker Daniels LLP, Finlan Crow advises companies on regulatory matters related to M&A.


Rich Flynn has joined Stamford, Connecticut-based Tyton Partners as a managing director. Flynn previously served as head of U.S.  corporate development at Apollo Education Ventures, and concentrates on the education sector.


Steve Geringer has joined Denver-based Revelstoke Capital Partners as an operating partner. Geringer is the chairperson of surgery center operator AmSurg Corp. (Nasdaq: AMSG), which has plans to merge with Envision Healthcare Holdings Inc. (NYSE: EVHC).


Josh Goldstein was hired by Greenspoon Marder’s Denver office as a shareholder. Goldstein advises companies on M&A, financing and divestitures. He was most recently a general counsel for ski resort operator Intrawest Resorts Holdings Inc. (NYSE: SNOW).


Robert Goldstein has joined McDermott Will & Emery as a partner. Previously with Schulte Roth, Goldestein focuses on private equity and M&A and will head McDermott’s New York PE team.


Mark Grabowski was hired by TPG Growth as a partner in New York. Most recently with L Catterton, Grabowski concentrates on consumer investments.


David Hellier has been elected president for the New York chapter for the Association for Corporate Growth. Hellier is a partner at Bertram Capital, where he oversees the business development team.


James Howe has joined Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP’s London office as a partner. Previously with Proskauer Rose, Howe focuses on M&A and private equity.


Mike Irwin has launched Bottle Rocket Advisors, a consulting firm that helps companies with branding strategy and increasing sales. Irwin is a former chief financial officer for WD-40.


Mark Jenkins was hired by the Carlyle Group as head of global credit. Based in New York, Jenkins was most recently with Canada Pension Plan Investment Board. Carlyle’s credit division invests energy credit as well as structured and distressed credit.


Howard Kahn has joined East Wind Advisors in New York as a senior adviser. Kahn focuses on M&A and capital raising across the media, consumer, education and technology sectors.


Michael Krakovsky was hired by Stout Risius Ross as a managing director. Based in Los Angeles and previously with Houlihan Lokey, Krakovsky advises on in and out-of-court restructurings.


Ruth Lane was hired by New York-based MidOCean Partners as head of investor relations. Lane was most recently the head of investor relations for CIFC LLC.


Joe Lavely has joined Quarton International’s Minneapolis office as a partner. Previously with Greene Holcomb Fisher, Lavely concentrates on M&A and private equity.


Amanda Mahoski was promoted from associate to vice president at Des Moines, Iowa-based Midwest Growth Partners. In her new role, Mahoski will assist the PE firm with sourcing and due diligence for potential investments.


John Matthews was promoted from senior adviser to managing director at DeSilva & Phillips. Based in New York, Matthews focuses on media and technology.


Einat Meisel has joined O’Melveny & Myers LLP’s Silicon Valley office as a partner. Previously with    Gross Kleinhendler Hodak Halevy Greenberg & Co., Meisel advises on M&A in the life sciences and technology sectors, particularly in Israel.   


Joseph Mooney was hired by Houlihan Lokey as a managing director in New York. Most recently with Sagent Advisors, Mooney will work in Houlihan’s M&A group.


James Moore has joined Denver-based Platte River Equity as a vice president. Moore was formerly with Aurora Capital Group and has experience in the industrials sector.    


Michael Muntner has joined Centerview Partners' New York office as a partner. Most recently with Credit Suisse, Muntner focuses on M&A in the healthcare sector.


Rory O’Sullivan was hired by Pagemill Partners as a managing director. Based in London and previously with Bulger Partners, O’Sullivan will lead Pagemill’s European Technology M&A group. Pagemill is a division of Duff & Phelps.


Todd Parsapour has joined Stout Risius Ross as a managing director in Houston. Previously with Simmons & Co. International, Parsapour concentrates on M&A in the energy sector.


Hunter Peterson was hired by the Riverside Co.’s Dallas office as a partner. Most recently with Trinity Hunt Partners, Peterson focuses on M&A and private equity.


Meranee Phing was promoted from principal to partner at the Riverside Co. Based in San Francisco, Phing focuses on M&A and private equity, particularly in the consumer sector.


Spencer Potts has joined New York-based MidOcean Partners as head of business of development. Previously with CIFC, Potts will focus on sourcing and marketing potential investments.


Oliver Rochman was hired by Morrison Foerster as a partner in London. Previously with Proskauer Rose, Rochman advises buyout funds and fund of funds on fund formation and investments.


Becky Roof, a managing director for AlixPartners, will lead the firm’s new Houston office. Roof has been with AlixPartners since 1998 and has served in several interim management roles.


Oliver Seiler has joined Latham & Watkins’ Frankfurt office as a partner. Previously with Allen & Overy, Seiler advises on initial public offerings and private placements.


Keith Sipes was hired by Stout Risius Ross as a managing director in Los Angeles. Previously with CRT Capital Group, Sipes concentrates on M&A in the technology, media and telecom sectors.


Stuart Smith has joined Centerview Partners' New York office as a partner. Most recently with Credit Suisse, Smith concentrates on M&A in the healthcare sector.


Nick Speer was promoted from principal to partner at the Riverside Co. Based in Melbourne, Australia, Speer focuses on M&A and private equity.


Greg Steil has joined Denver-based Revelstoke Capital Partners as an operating partner. Steil is the founder of physical therapy services provider ATI Physical Therapy Holdings Inc.


Michael Ulmer was hired by Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP’s Frankfurt office as a partner. Most recently with Allen & Overy, Ulmer focuses on M&A in Germany.


Laurens van Asselt has joined Houlihan Lokey as a managing director. Based in Amsterdam and most recently with Rabobank, Van Asselt focuses on the power and utilities, environmental and infrastructure sectors.


Lee Van Voorhis has joined Jenner & Block’s Washington, D.C. office as a partner. Previously with Baker & McKenzie, Van Voorhis advises clients in the consumer, technology, healthcare and media sectors on antitrust issues related to M&A.


Brian Wilson was hired by the Carlyle Group LP (Nasdaq: CG) as a senior adviser to the firm’s Asia buyout team. Based in Sydney, Wilson will advise Carlyle on trends and due diligence. Wilson is currently the chair of Australia’s Foreign Investment Review Board.


Howard Wolfe was hired by PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance LLC to lead the firm’s U.S. corporate finance technology, media and telecommunications group. Based in San Francisco, Wolfe was previously with TMT Investment Banking Group.


Daniel Yergin has joined the Carlyle Group as a senior adviser. Yergin will advise the Washington, D.C.-based firm on economic conditions and energy trends. Yergin founded Cambridge Energy Research Associates, which is now part of IHS Markit.
