Private equity-backed Orbital Tool Technologies has acquired Century Turbine Repair.
Pevely, Mo.-based Century provides inspection, repair and maintenance services for steam turbines and rotating equipment used by major utilities, power plants and industrial firms. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Orbital Tool, headquartered in Belvidere, Ill., provides field machining, spare parts manufacturing and valve repairs to the utility and industrial markets.
The buyer is backed by Azalea Capital, a private equity firm headquartered in Greenville, S.C. The firm is also invested in Etak Systems Inc., Star Packaging and Sunbelt Chemicals Corp.
