Nexant has acquired Freeman Sullivan & Co.

Freeman Sullivan, headquartered in San Francisco, is an energy consulting firm. The firm provides data to utilities and regulators about energy-savings programs. The company’s founder, Michael Sullivan, and CEO, Stephen George, will join Nexant. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

White Plains, N.Y.-based Nexant provides planning, design, management and evaluation software to the energy sector. The buyer expects the acquisition to strengthen its software services, especially Nexant iEnergy, software that enables utilities to manage several services in one place.
