MFC Industrial Ltd. (NYSE: MIL) is buying the Fesil AS Group for about $82 million.

Trondeim, Noway-based Fesil produces ferrosilicon, which is used for the production of steel, stainless steel and cast iron.

MFC, headquartered in New York, is a global commodity supply chain company that provides metals, energy, chemicals plastics and wood products. The company also provides logistics, financial and risk management services to commodity producers and consumers.  The acquisition should add geographical reach and an increased product portfolio to MFC.
