Private equity firms HGGC and JMI Equity have completed the acquisition of VTLS Inc.
Blacksburg, Virginia-based VTLS Inc. provides library automation services to customers in 44 countries. The company will be integrated with Innovative, formerly known as Innovative Interfaces, which also provides library technology. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
For Innovative, the VTLS acquisition is its second add on this year, following a deal for Polaris Library Systems in April.
On April 1 Palo Alto, California-based HGGC announced the acquisition of AutoAlert and that it closed a deal for the aftermarket services business of Jabil Circuit that day. JMI Equity, headquartered in Wilton, Connecticut, has recently invested in Dean Evans & Associates Inc., a software group, and SiriusDecisions Inc., a research and advisory services firm.
