Golden Gate Capital has acquired a majority stake in LiveVox Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

LiveVox, headquartered in San Francisco, provides cloud-based contact center software and services for outsourcing companies. The services include predictive dialing, call recording and business analytics.

San Francisco-based Golden Gate is a private equity firm with about $12 billion in capital under management. The firm previously invested in the contact center market through the purchase of Aspect Software, which provides services to call centers.

The investment should speed up LiveVox's growth, including expanding product offerings.

Golden Gate's recent investments include Safety Technology Holdings Inc., which it bought in December, and BMC Software

Kirkland & Ellis LLP was Golden Gate's legal adviser. Morgan Lewis and GCA Savvian advised LiveVox.
