Flextronics International Ltd. (Nasdaq: FLEX) is buying Riwisa AG for an undisclosed amount.
Switzerland-based Riwisa provides injection-molding services for the plastic processing industry.
Flextronics, which provides supply-chain services, expects to expand its medical capabilities through the deal. “The addition of Riwisa's precision plastics and automation capabilities to Flextronics Medical is a tremendous complement to the broad range of healthcare solutions we can offer our customers," says Mark Kemp, president of Flextronics.
The San Jose, Calif.-based buyer provides services to the data networking, telecommunications, enterprise computing and storage, industrial, capital equipment, appliances, automation, medical automotive, aerospace, defense mobile and other sectors.
