Insurance company Confie Seguros is continuing its acquisition streak with its purchase of Texas State Low Cost Insurance Agency of Austin, which offers personal and commercial insurance.
Texas State offers insurance through 43 locations around Austin, west Texas and east Texas.
Confie Seguros, headquartered in Buena Park, Calif., has bought several other insurance companies in 2013, and the insurer expects to continue making acquisitions through the second half of the year. In May, the company bought Capital Insurance Agency, a Trenton, N.J.-based insurance company.
Other companies have also been scooping up competitors. Acquiline Capital Partners closed a deal for Equity Insurance Group in April, and Genstar Capital LLC bought Acrisure, a retail insurance brokerage company, in March.
