Development-stage pharmaceutical firm Avigen Inc. reiterated its intent to divest some assets and concentrate on developing different products in its Aug. 5 second quarter earnings release. The $68 million market cap company originally announced in a April 5 statement that it was looking to sell its gene therapy technology and instead focus on Parkinson’s disease treatments and other “traditional pharmaceutical products.”
