In this week’s roundup of middle-market hirings and promotions, highlights include: Thomas High’s promotion at Halifax; John Schumacher‘s hiring by Gryphon Investors; and Lilit Voskanyans joining Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher.

Tracy Bahl was hired by private equity firm Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe as an operating partner where he is focusing on the healthcare sector. Bahl most recently served as president and CEO of OneOncology.

Michael Fazekas and Dominic Hood have been promoted to managing director at private equity firm Flexpoint Ford. Dan Grigorescu, Vilas Nair and Thomas Shi have been promoted to principal at the same firm.

Kirby Fine has been promoted to partner at private equity firm ATL Partners.

Andrew Harper and Idan Netser were hired by law firm Sidley Austin as partners. Harper focuses on M&A, while Netser concentrates on early-stage investments. They were both previously with Fenwick & West LLP.

Thomas High was promoted from controller to CFO at private equity firm the Halifax Group.

Steven Kalter has been promoted to managing director at Littlejohn & Co.

Mengyu Lu was hired by Kirkland & Ellis as a partner. She was previously with Sidley Austin and focuses on M&A along with Hong Kong-listed IPOs.

Harper Mates has been promoted managing director at European investment firm Wendel. She joined the firm in 2015.

Scott Porter and Matthew Riendeau were to managing directors at middle-market investment bank Cascadia Capital. Porter joined the firm in 2017, while Riendeau has been with Cascadia since 2009.

John Schumacher was hired by Gryphon Investors as a partner. He previously co-founded and led GoldPoint Partners LLC, a subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Co.

JJ Schonberg was promoted from managing director to partner at private equity firm Falfurrias Capital Partners. Chip Johnson, Geordie Pierson and Wilson Sullivan were each promoted from principal to partner at the same firm.

Lilit Voskanyan (pictured) has joined law firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP as a partner where she is focusing on private equity. She was previously with Kirkland & Ellis.
