NAV loans – lending vehicles that are secured at the fund level on a portfolio of assets rather than against the value of a single company – have been growing in popularity. Annual activity reached $44 billion in 2023, according to 17Capital, a pioneer in the space and one of the biggest NAV lenders. It expects deployment to top $70 billion in 2025 and be over $145 billion by 2030.
