Vista Equity Partners’ investment in Gnosis Freight took nearly two and half years to come to fruition. Vista had been tracking supply chain visibility software as an emerging thematic vertical when multiple solutions began to come to market in the wake of the Covid pandemic. The PE firm first reached out to co-founder and CEO Austin McCombs in July 2022. The relationship was cultivated through trips to Gnosis Freight’s Charleston, S.C. headquarters, quarterly check-ins and outside due diligence with key leaders at industry conferences and events.
