Mergers & Acquisitions names the 2023 Most Influential Women in Mid-Market M&A, including Harris Williams’s Larissa Rozycki.

How are you a champion of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)?
I am an executive committee member for DEI efforts at Harris Williams and help champion the creation and promotion of DEI-related content across key firm communication channels, such as our internal website and the firm’s podcast that features interviews with colleagues. To do so, I work closely with our employee business resource groups, marketing team, and other pillars of our DEI efforts.

One of the most inspiring things we’ve started as a firm are podcasts involving our own colleagues at Harris Williams, and hearing from individuals around the firm about how they identify with the heritage months, celebrations, and days of acknowledgment that are so important to our DEI efforts.

Unofficially, I’m also a mentor to several women at the firm, and regularly engage with them to provide guidance on their career trajectories and help them further initiatives related to their growth.

How are you advancing the state of women?
I am involved in a number of internal and external events at Harris Williams that focus on supporting women in investment banking. Most recently, Harris Williams hosted its Women’s Symposium, which consisted of networking and professional development opportunities for all women at the firm. During the event, I hosted a panel called “Leveraging Your Strengths” and moderated a discussion among three senior women about the myth of the work/life balance, setting boundaries, managing expectations, and asking for feedback.

I also recently hosted a women in private equity dinner in New York City as part of the 2022 Women’s Private Capital Summit.
