Matthew Bennett was content to continue running his company, until the opportunity became too great to sell. So in May, he sold his five-year-old managed service provider (MSP) LocumsCollective to healthcare staffing firm Barton Associates, a portfolio company of H.I.G. Capital.
“I had no intention when I started this company to sell it. I just wanted to leave a legacy,” says Bennett. But after meeting with Barton’s CEO, April Hansen, their synergies were clear. “We spoke for six months, and it became evident we would do better together,” he adds.
