Apotex Health Corp. acquired the U.S. branded medicines business of Cumberland Pharmaceuticals Inc., expanding its specialty pharmaceutical portfolio and hospital-focused presence in the United States.
The acquisition adds a portfolio of established branded medicines, strengthening Apotex’s presence in specialty and hospital-focused markets across acute care, oncology, infectious disease, and gastroenterology. The acquired portfolio includes the established brands Kristalose, Caldolor, Sancuso, Vibativ, Acetadote, Vaprisol and Talicia, which are prescribed across hospital, oncology, infectious disease and gastroenterology settings.
