GenNx360 Capital Partners has appointed Welela Dawit as operating partner, expanding the firm’s operating resources team.
In her new role, Dawit will work closely with the firm’s investment professionals and portfolio company management teams to support commercial growth, operational improvement, and value creation initiatives across the portfolio. Dawit brings nearly two decades of finance and operating experience from Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT) and General Electric (NYSE: GE). Most recently, she served as chief financial officer of Microsoft South Africa, where she oversaw commercial strategy, financial governance and P&L management while supporting enterprise technology, AI and cloud operations. Before Microsoft, Dawit spent more than 15 years at General Electric, ultimately serving as chief financial officer of GE Africa, where she led business integrations and managed the carve-out of a major portfolio into a standalone operating business.
