Strategic Value Partners has appointed Jean-Baptiste de Boissieu as a managing director and member of its European investment team, strengthening the firm’s capabilities across pan-European liquid credit, private credit, restructurings and special situations investing.
Based in London, de Boissieu will focus on opportunities across SVP’s opportunistic credit investment strategy. The announcement was made by the firm. De Boissieu joins SVP from Davidson Kempner, where he served as a managing director investing across the capital structure. Earlier in his career, he held investment banking roles at Barclays Capital and Lehman Brothers, beginning in the latter’s M&A team. He brings more than 20 years of experience spanning private credit, restructurings, private equity and special situations across European markets.
