Unilever is among several bidders evaluating supplements maker Thorne, according to the Financial Times, as the consumer goods company looks to expand its higher-growth health and wellbeing portfolio under CEO Fernando Fernandez

L Catterton, which acquired Thorne for approximately $680 million in a take-private transaction in 2023, is seeking a valuation of as much as $4 billion. Founded in 1984 and headquartered in South Carolina, Thorne develops and markets premium dietary supplements, including magnesium and omega-3 products, primarily serving U.S. consumers. The company is expected to generate approximately $650 million in revenue this year.
