Several years ago, Shore Capital Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm, was delving into the unfamiliar home infusion therapy services industry. Needing some insights, owner and managing partner Justin Ishbia called the head partner of another Chicago PE firm, which had bought a company in that sector, to tap his expertise. That partner shared not only his knowledge but gave Ishbia the names of their accounting and law firms, and the contact information for the founders and prior executives of the home infusion business their firm had acquired.
