Ziff Davis Inc. has purchased NetShelter, an online publishing community for consumer electronics, computing and mobile communications content.

NetShelter publishers include about 150 consumer and business technology websites, including AndroidCentral.com, MacRumors.com, Neoseeker.com, SlashGear.com and TechSpot.com. InPowered sold NetShelter for an undisclosed amount.

New York-based Ziff Davis owns PCMag.com and Toolbox.com. Since emerging from bankruptcy in 2009, the company has been rebuilding, including acquiring websites.

The buyer is owned by J2 Global Inc. (Nasdaq: JCOM), which provides cloud-based communications and storage messaging services.

In February, Ziff Davis bought IGN Entertainment, a video game and entertainment company, from News Corp. (Nasdaq: NWS). In May 2012, the company bought ComputerShopper.com in a move that returned the brand to its original creator.
