Private equity firm Windjammer Capital has closed a $726 million fund.
The fund is called Windjammer Senior Equity Fund IV. Windjammer’s previous fund had $574 million in committed capital.
The latest fund is combined of investments from institutional investors, including state and city pension plans, fund of funds, corporate pension programs and European government institutions.
Windjammer will focus on investing in middle market companies with Ebitda of $10 million to $40 million in the manufacturing, distribution and business service sectors.
The PE firm was founded in 1990 and manages about $2 billion in capital. The company has invested in 49 companies.
Chris Kallos and Justin Solomon of Kirkland & Ellis LLP served as legal counsel for the fund’s formation.
