Windjammer Capital Investors is buying Heritage Food Service Group from the Jordan Co.

Heritage, founded in 1987 and based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, distributes original replacement and repair parts for commercial kitchen equipment. Jordan Co. acquired Heritage in 2011.

Under Jordan Co.’s ownership, Heritage has made a handful of add-on acquisitions including Canadian foodservice equipment part distributors Choquette CKS Inc. and Key Food Equipment Services Ltd. earlier in 2015 and in 2014, respectively. In 2013, Heritage purchased another similar company in R.G. Henderson & Son Ltd.

Windjammer has experience in buying foodservice equipment companies. The PE firm currently owns Component Hardware Group Inc. which supplies plumbing products to the food industry. Windjammer typically invests $50 million to $200 million in businesses that have up to $50 million in Ebitda.
