Watt Fuel Cell Corp. has purchased Pittsburgh Electric Engines Inc. for an undisclosed amount.

Mr. Pleasant, Penn.-based Pittsburgh Electric develops tubular fuel sells for the transportation and mobile power markets.

Watt Fuel, a Port Washington, N.Y.-based developer of solid oxide fuel cells, plans to combine the companies' fuel cell technologies.

In another April fuel cell deal, Plug Power Inc. (Nasdaq: PLUG) bought assets from ReliOn Inc., adding hydrogen fuel-cell stack technology to its offerings.
