U.S. HealthWorks has acquired California Occupational Clinic of Los Angeles, following the purchase of a center in North Carolina earlier in June.

The clinic provides occupational health care and urgent care services, including diagnosis and treatment of injuries and illnesses, preventative services, exams and rehabilitative care. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The deal gives U.S. HealthWorks 70 centers and worksites in California. Previously, U.S. HealthWorks purchased Charlotte, North Carolina-based IndustriCare, an urgent care center. Before that, in November, the group bought the Urgent Medical Care center in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Companies have been scooping up physician groups and urgent care facilities latetly. Earlier in June, Apollo Medical bought AKM Medical Group. In April, Mednax (NYSE: MD) picked up Fredericksburg Anesthesia Associates Inc.
