United Stationers (Nasdaq: USTR) is buying Medco, an auto parts supplier, for $130 million.

Medco, headquartered in Philadelphia, supplies car parts and tools. The company’s affiliates include G2S Equipment de Fabrication et d’Entretein ULC, a Canadian wholesaler, that United Stationers is also buying.  

Deerfield, Illinois-based United Stationers says the acquisition will help diversify the company, which supplies business products, including office, technology, janitorial and other products, as well as industrial supplies.

Other recent auto parts deals include Trim Parts’ acquisition of Mr. Mustang Inc. and Avic Electromechanical Systems Co. Ltd.’s purchase of Hilite International for about $644 million.
