Tradeweb Markets is buying BondDesk Group LLC for an undisclosed amount.

BondDesk, headquartered in New York, develops trading technology and provides retail fixed-income management.

New York-based Tradeweb operates global fixed income and derivatives marketplaces. The deal allows Tradeweb to broaden its retail offerings.

Goldman Sachs & Co. (NYSE: GS) acted as Tradeweb’s financial adviser, while Fried Frank Harris Shriver & Jacobson LLP provided legal advice. Broadhaven Capital Partners was BondDesk’s financial adviser, and Pepper Hamilton LLP acted as legal counsel.

Tradeweb’s purchase follows several other exchange deals. In September, NYSE Euronext (NYSE: NYX) bought a minority stake in ACE Group Inc., a company that runs a portal through which companies can sell stocks and other securities. In August, Spectrum Equity and TA Associates acquired a minority stake in Bats Global Markets Inc., which operates two stock markets.
