TowerBrook Capital Partners, the New York- and London-based private equity firm, added Thomas Flocco to help it weigh deals in the consumer space.

Flocco comes to the PE firm after having a lengthy career in the beverage business. He most recently worked at Fortune Brands, where he served as chief executive of the company’s Beam Global Spirits and Wine division. He also worked as a partner at McKinsey & Co. and spent five years with Procter & Gamble.

At TowerBrook, Flocco will work alongside professionals including senior managing director Andrew Rolfe to identify consumer space plays.

Private equity firms have increasingly been reaching out to professionals to bring in new talent coinciding with the market turnaround.

KPS Capital Partners last month bolstered its deal sourcing efforts with the addition of Daniel Gray, a Gores Group veteran who joined the private equity firm to work as a managing director with experience in the financial services sector.

Veronis Suhler Stevenson chairman and co-CEO John Veronis announced recently that he will leave the PE firm he founded decades ago, to embark upon a new, yet-undisclosed project.

There has been more hiring on the banking scene as well; Alvarez & Marsal last month brought on a private equity services pro in Jeff Schlosser, a KPMG veteran, and in April, Harris Williams made a number of hires to expand its technology team.
