PMC Ouvrie SAS, a subsidiary of PMC Group, has purchased BASF’s global food and fermentation defoamer business for an undisclosed amount.

The business includes the Clerol and Biospumex products, which are used to produce bioethanol, amino acids, starch and sugar.

PMC Ouvrie produces defoamers for the sugar, fermentation, food, water treatment automotive and paper industries. PMC Group is a diversified chemicals and plastics company based in Mount Laurel, N.J.
