An investment group led by private equity firm Olympus Partners has closed on its acquisition of Centerplate Inc., which provides event hospitality services to sports facilities, convention centers and entertainment venues. The deal was originally announced Sept. 27.

Olympus, headquartered in Stamford, Conn., manages more than $3 billion on behalf of corporate pension funds, endowment funds and state-sponsored retirement programs.

Centerplate’s management partnered with Olympus to complete the buyout.

The Stamford, Conn.-based target was a portfolio company of private equity firm Kohlberg & Co. LLC. Kohlberg, based in Mount Kisco, N.Y., has completed more than 57 platform investments and more than 100 add-on acquisitions.

Harris Williams & Co. acted as Centerplate’s financial adviser. The deal closed Oct. 16. Terms were not disclosed.
