Kimco Realty Corp. (NYSE: KIM) has sold 23 non-strategic retail properties for $165 million.

The company has been selling off non-strategic assets since 2010, and has sold 86 properties for about $529.9 million.

The company added four shopping centers for $118.8 million in 2012: Hawthorne Hills Square in Vernon Hills, Ill., for $37.5 million; Savi Ranch, in Yorba Linda, Calif., for $34.5 million; Woodlawn Center in Charlotte, N.C., for $7.1 million; and Wilton Campus Shops in Wilton, Conn., for $39.7 million. 

Kimco, headquartered in New Hyde Park, N.Y., owns and operates a portfolio of shopping centers.
