HIG Growth Partners has acquired womensforum.com Inc. through its Houston-based portfolio company, Escalate Media Holdings.

Womensforum, headquartered in Chicago, is an online company that provides resources for women, including content on food, parenting, health, living, style and entertainment.

Escalate, a newly-formed company, provides targeted online advertising.

HIG Growth is an affiliate of private equity firm HIG Capital, based in Miami. The firm has more than $10 billion in capital under management. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Signal Hill acted as Escalate's investment banker.
